Not only are we now officially at the start of the new rugby season, we have officially commenced the building of our new facilities at Crusaders Rugby Club!

The Development Committee, led by Peter Blinkhorn who continues to be the driving force of the clubs future, agreed all was in place to commence the first phase of the build, ratified by the club committee we signed on the dotted line to get things underway with the successful tenderer Smith Of Honingham builders.

How did we get here?
Our vision for Crusaders to have new and improved facilities has been kindly supported by so many. Most recently we received a new donation of £25,000 from Norwich Freemans and of course we were so deeply touched by the donation Connor MacKenzie Clark raised for his club, a further £14,843 and counting .

Bringing together all our donations from those shared previously we are ready to kick-off phase 1!

What is the First Phase?
The first phase of the project will be delivered under a JCT design and build contract.

We have prioritised the changing facilities upgrade works and will deliver 3 RFU / Sport England compliant en-suite changing rooms & referee changing facilities. We made the decision for these to be priority areas based on our growing memberships, safeguarding needs and the outdated facilities that exist.

Can you still get involved?
Absolutely!

As you will see from the plans shared above and displayed within our existing clubhouse, we have a phase 2 planned and of course we need to fund that element also.
