Crusaders travelled to Newmarket without unavailable Mark Keysall and Jordon long. With Stu Byrn and Josh Wilder both suffering long term injuries last week, new comers Calum Weston & Emanual Hondora joined Gareth Chandler in the squad. Crusaders had the best of the first half with the forwards more than matching their bigger counterparts but failed to turn their opportunities into points at half time 0-0. Newmarket got off to a flyer in the second half, when Crusaders failed to deal with a high ball and Newmarket added a penalty to a quick try. Injuries to scrum half Ryan Harris and captain Lewis White did not help the visitors cause and a rampent Newmarket consolidated their victory with 3 late scores to gain a bonus point. Crusaders can be pleased with the performance of a much disrupted team as the score some what flattered Newmarket.
