Great confidence boosting win on Saturday as Crusaders got back to winning ways after to heavy defeats.
The side saw the return of Mark Keysell and Ryan Harris from Injury and Rob Loone from holiday giving the backs a much needed boost.
Crusaders started strongly and after 5 mins good backs play saw the always impressive Stewart Cameron score out wide. 5-0 to the home side.
Crusaders kept the pressure on Broadland but good defence saw Broadland keep the score within reach. Against the run of play a good forwards drive from the visitors and quick ball to the back saw there centre smash through to score under the posts 5-5 conversion taken 5-7 to Broadland. The forwards of Crusaders kept the pressure on being held up over the line twice. A series of penalties in the Broadland 22 saw Man Of the Match Josh Stuart smash through the defence to score under the posts 10-5 to the home side Tristan Smith converting 12-5.
Broadland then had a good bit of possession but could not break down the home sides good defence. Half Time 12-5.
The second was a good battle with both sides coming close to scoring. Finally the deciding moment came when good hands by the backs saw Stewart Cameron score again in the corner to make the score 17-7 after 60 minutes. Crusaders pushed for the bonus point try but could not break down some excellent defence by the visitors.
The Result saw us jump up 2 places in the league. Season back on track
