Crusaders In to Junior Cup Final

Crusaders booked their place in the Junior Cup Final with an impressive 39-12 win over Dereham
A really enjoyable game in which Dereham more than played there part in this exciting Semi Final.
The first 25 minutes were very even with Crusaders just having the edge. Some excellent kicking from Robert Loone gave Crusaders excellent field position and from a good break into the 22 the forwards quickly cleared the ball for it to go to the blindside for Karl Pebbles to score in the corner 5-0 after 28 Minutes. Next a devastating 10 minute spell where Robert Loone, Sam Barker and Henry Joy scored with Tristan Smith converting one to give the home side a healthy 22-0 lead at half time.
The second half started very much like the first half with both sides quite equal Crusaders again just edging the play. The second half dead log was broken after a good move in the Dereham 22 saw Jack Boorman crash over to score 27-0 after 60 minutes. Dereham then got themselves on the score board after a tap penalty the prop crashing over. This spurred the home side on and Robert Loone got his 2nd try of the afternoon followed shortly after by George King scoring 39-5. Dereham again bounced back to score out wide and a good conversion saw the score 39-12. Crusaders had a good chance to score but good covering saw Dereham clear there lines. Well done to Crusaders and Dereham who never gave up and lets us know we were in a game.
