Swaffham 2 V Crusaders 2

Last saturday the 2s travelled to Swaffham for third league game another
strong side boosted on the bench by a few 3rd team players as their game
was canx on friday

The game could not of started any worse from the kick off a miss placed
kick was collected by Swaffhams winger and ran in at the corner 5-0 a
great kick from the swaffham player made it 7-0 with less than a minute
on the board.
The boys re shaped and were straight back on the front foot the forwards
giving the backs great ball a flowing move by the backs saw the ball
ending up with tristan and a great run saw him go over in the corner 5-7
conversion missed. This was after only 5 Minutes.
The boys head were up and another good play by the forwards saw George
break clear to score under the posts 7-10 conversion kicked 7-12. Great
turn around and only 10 minutes gone. Swaffham were find the strength of
the pack and kick hands of the backs very hard to deal with the scrums
were going very well and glenn was winning the majority of Swaffhams
ball. Some great cover tackling and counter rucking by Crus saw a
flowing move again come out to Tristan who beat 2 players to score 7-17
conversion kicked 7-19. Swaffham never gave up and put a good move in
down the wing but good tackling and great steal by jmbo to stop the
attack.
jmbo playing his first game for Crus at inside centre made a lovely
break from great inside pass from cocky and ran clear of the defence and
with a clever pass to george who was on his shoulder went in unopposed
7-24 conversion kicked 7-26 PHEW Half time
Was a great half and special well done to glen for his outstanding
performance at hooker and jimbo who fitted in really well at inside
centre both coming off at half time.
Swaffham started the second half strongly and looked as if they wanted
to rid themselves of a bad first half. They were camped in our 22 for
the first ten minutes but the defence of the whole team was brilliant
showed how the training on defence has worked wonders.
Good work by the forwards gave the backs great ball ,and quick ball gave
tristan the chance to go in for his hat trick and settle the side again
7-31 converted 7-33
Sean had come on for glen for his first game for the seconds and
straight away was turning over swaffhams ball and hitting the jumpers.
Chris being outstanding in the line again.
By this stage Swaffahm had no answer for our pace and strength across
the team. A good pick up from george saw him break the defence and score
his hat trick 7-38 conversion taken 7-40
Tristan broke clear of the defence to score under the posts 7-45
conversion taken 7-47 Stu was very unlucky not to score when the ref
pulled him back for crossing, and then saying he was held up on the
line.
To finish off the scoring ross h who had been brilliant at full back
muscled his way through the defence no one was going to stop him to
score 7-53 converted 7-54.
A fantastic performance by all 22 players. Well done tristan 4 tries and
george 3 tries. This is a very very good 2nd team.
Could not be prouder of all the players a pleasure to be involved with
you all
