Southwold 2 v Crusaders 2

Southwold 44 Crusaders 12

The 2nds travelled to the coast to Southwold last Saturday

Never an easy place to go to but with players moving up to the firsts
and call offs we arrived with 15 players and players out of position

The Game could not have started worse when after only 5 minutes Jimbo
went over heavily on his ankle causing him to have to come off leaving
us with 14 players

The 14 players did their best but were playing a good side who would
have given us a tough game with 15 players

Southwold took 29-0 lead in the first 30 minutes just passed ball wide
and used the extra man and the ever present wind. The last ten minutes
of the half belonged to Crusaders and after a sustained period of
pressure Ross Howard scored under the posts 29-7 at half time.
The second half was much closer with the forwards being brilliant and a
well deserved first try for Crusaders for Sean capped a very good game
for him. With George and Ash in the centres we looked dangerous and both
were unlucky not to score last ditch tackles at the end stopping them
scoring.
Look as if it was a big defeat but with players missing and early injury
the team made me very proud.

The thirds went to Norwich Union for a friendly short of 2 players due
to call offs on Saturday morning and to make matters worse 2 other
players who said they were playing not turning up!!
A clash of heads with Cocky and Guy in the first tackle of the game saw
them both off to hospital and down to even less players NU gave some
players. By all accounts the boys did well got beaten but kept trying so
Well done proud of you that did turn up.
Please boys no more Saturday call offs effects the sides badly and makes
the boss go greyer that little bit quicker.

No game for either side this weekend Lakenham firsts calling off. So a
team bonding (drinking session) has been arranged at the Reindeer pub in
Dereham Road Norwich to watch England V All Blacks.
All players or supports who are not going to Ipswich welcome meet at
1pm. Lets see a lots of the seconds and thirds players supporting this

Much Love
The Boss
