We are pleased to announce the appointment of new Head Coach Aaron Swanborough who will be working along side DoR David Howard.

BIO: Having played rugby since the age of 10 back in Gloucester and then Norwich, coaching was something that I had always wanted to do once my playing days were over. I was fortunate to get the opportunity to start coaching at Wymondham whilst David Howard was head coach and then onto a role with the Wymondham Wasps (Ladies). After 3 and half seasons with the Wasps and 2 successful promotions, I decided it was time for a new challenge and got back into men's senior coaching. I joined West Norfolk RFC for the 2018/2019 campaign and after a successful season, West Norfolk finished 4th in the London Eastern Counties league.

Away from the traditional season I am also Head Coach for the Eastern Counties Women who compete in the Gill Burns County Championship every year.

When the opportunity arose to become head coach of Crusaders Rugby Club, it was one of the easiest decisions for me. Having played against Crusaders's whilst in Norfolk when playing for Norwich and Wymondham, they have always been extremely welcoming and friendly. Having met with Rod and David initially, it was clear that Crusaders shared the same passion I do for the game and had very clear objectives similar to mine. We want to build on last season and continue to get multiple senior sides out week in week out. From a first team perspective I expect nothing less than a top 5 finish and a semi-final spot minimum in the local cup. With the talent I have seen and been told about, I truly believe this is possible.

With preseason kicking off in the first week of July, we will work really hard through the summer to prepare for what will be a great season.
