Since the summer departure of Dave Howard as Crusaders 1st Director of Rugby I have been working on both his replacement and to review and clarify the role the club needs the DoR to play, I’m delighted to announce the appointment of Jimi Matthews as Director of Rugby, with immediate effect. In the broadest sense, Jimi will be responsible for the delivery of the club vision, through cultural development, people management and leadership direction. He will promote the club externally and ensure smooth running of the adult playing sections, as well as providing a collaborative platform for coaching discussion. Jimi and Cocky will work together to improve the overall quality of all the rugby being played at the Club and to deliver the vision. Please join me in welcoming Jimi to his new role at Crusaders and wishing him much fun and success.
