How a decision can change a game
Crusaders went to Ipswich YM full of confidence after 3 good wins. The game saw first start for James Diaper and Calum Reader.
Ipswich started strongly with 2 quick tries 1 converted to put the home side 12-0 .
Crusaders pack came back strongly and pinned Ipswich into their 22. After 2 scrums a quick penalty from Rob Loone saw him score under the posts and convert himself 12-7 game on
The rest of the half was very even both sides playing good rugby.
Just before the break a decision that changed the game. James Garner was very harshly yellow carded for being off side. This was first penalty conceded in 15 minutes. Where Ipswich had given 4 penalties on the trot and had not been punished. The penalty was kicked so half time 15-7 to Ipswich.
Down to 14 men Ipswich quickly scored 3 tries in the second half game as a result over.
As always the boys never gave up and 2 or 3 times came close to scoring but could not break the good defence of Ipswich.
The final score of 44-7 was harsh but give Ipswich due they took their tries well
