Another home game this week against a big squad from Broadland always a tough game with Broadland having a good pack.
Had quite a few changes in the backs a big welcome back to James Robertson and James Garner. First start for Sean on the flank after his good second half against West Norfolk.
The game started as you would expect as a very good battle for the forwards. The early encounters were very close with Crusaders just edging the play. From a scrum just inside the Broadland half Ash picked up and stormed towards the line and was never going to be stopped another great try by the captain 5-0 to Crusaders Ross taking the conversion to make the score 7-0. We were brilliant in defence from 1-15 and were stopping the pick and drive by Broadland. A real shame came after a ruck noticed James Loone down and we now find out has a broken ankle we all wish you speedy recovery. A good run from the wing by Steve saw him kick on and unluck not to score. Straight after this a kick by Broadland fell to James Garner who backed himself and went through the defence and was unlucky not to score. Broadland put us under some pressure in our half but from another scrum Ash broke clear and had the long run to the line to be tripped up strangley no yellow card. Half time 7-0.
The second half was very equal our defence being the best ive seen all season a great kick from Sean saw him collect his own kick to score(great full debut) 12-0 kicking being misssed. We were having most of the play and Ash was close to scoring after picking from a scrum and going just to have the ball knocked out of his hand. From a quick penalty Tom Fiddy went over but was well held up by the Broadland pack. This was Tom best game in a long while looked good all game. Near the end James Robertson was put through and was steaming down the line to score but was harshly pulled back for a forward pass.

Not high scoring but a great team performance getting better every week.
