Join the Crusade(rs) – Our Urgent Pledge
We all have very personal, emotional, and unexpected stories to share since the appearance of Covid-19.Some have used this time at home productively to shape new beginnings or refresh current arrangements.
Unfortunately for Crusaders Rugby Football Club, a community, not for profit, amateur sports club, its plans to upgrade its clubhouse facilities stalled and our ability to obtain broader community support and financial investment have been impacted massively by Covid-19, hence our increased fundraising efforts.
Crusaders’ takes pride in being an inclusive and welcoming club, driven to support physical and mental wellbeing. However, the fact remains that we cannot support males and females changing and showering simultaneously due to the lack of dedicated facilities for them. The compromise caused by these issues reduces the level to which we can further develop our range of rugby teams, our school engagement programme as well as other community, business, and partnership links.
About our Pledge
We applied and gained planning permission to re-develop our premises to support the clubs current and future needs. The project has been costed at £550,000 + vat. So far, we have successfully secured £310,000 leaving us with ambitious, but achievable, target to raise. Our re-development plans are approved on the basis that building work commence by no later than June 2021 – this is where we hope for your support.

Our Belief in this Project
We strongly believe that the plans to develop our facilities will better serve all our current and new members, their families, the wider community allowing our club to continue to promote its inclusiveness, equality and diversity. This will also be a wonderful post covid-19 facility to welcome all back to sport when its right and safe to do so.
