Six of our Crusaders headed down to Barking RFC today to pull on the Eastern Counties colours — and what a shift they all put in. The result might not have gone EC’s way, but the pride we have in our girls never depends on the scoreboard.

Maryam marked her EC debut in the front row with a brilliant first outing. Alice and Mae were relentless in the back row, tackling anything that moved and setting the tone physically. Becca brought real tempo at nine, keeping EC on the front foot whenever she could. Jo crossed for her second try in as many games — clinical as ever. And Annie was outstanding at fullback, calm under pressure and sharp in attack.

A huge well done to all six Crusaders who represented the club with heart, effort and class. Your club couldn’t be prouder of you.
